Founded in 1986 Filmbase is a support organization for the independent film and video sector in Ireland.
Filmbase full fills this role by facilitating training & development, equipment and edit suite hire, information services, representation and lobbying for the low budget film sector.
Filmbase also publishes Film Ireland magazine and the Ireland on Screen directory. Filmbase also administer a number of Short Film Award schemes.

This was my second visit to Trinity Capital and thoroughly enjoyed my stay once again. We arrived for our stay for my 40th birthday with my husband and was greeted in my room to a birthday card and box of sweets and then also realised that they had kindly upgraded us to an Executive Room. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the atmosphere in the hotel was as wonderful as ever - the location is only a short walk from Temple Bar and Grafton Street, which is great. Hopefully before too long I shall be back to Trinity Capital for my third stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Dublin.
