Since its inception in 1731, the Royal Dublin Society has grown from a small gathering of visionaries into one of Ireland's most influential bodies.
Each Foundation activity benefits from the input of a dedicated Committee, whose objectives are to promote excellence, to encourage development and to advance awareness in a particular field.
Still a Society of Members who are integral to the continued success and development of the Foundation areas, the RDS is now also home to a prestigious Members' Club.
The RDS is Dublin's premier events venue for sport, concerts, conferences, exhibitions, and entertainment events.
The RDS is located in a convenient location close to the city centre and has a long history of entertaining the people of Ireland. Some of the biggest names in rock, pop and classical have played outdoor concerts at the RDS Arena including Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart and Take That.
The RDS Arena is home to Leinster Rugby (September to May) and the Fáilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show (August).

This was my second visit to Trinity Capital and thoroughly enjoyed my stay once again. We arrived for our stay for my 40th birthday with my husband and was greeted in my room to a birthday card and box of sweets and then also realised that they had kindly upgraded us to an Executive Room. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the atmosphere in the hotel was as wonderful as ever - the location is only a short walk from Temple Bar and Grafton Street, which is great. Hopefully before too long I shall be back to Trinity Capital for my third stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Dublin.
